Bedfordshire Stop Smoking Service
Types of Service:

  • Group clinics, individual appointments and telephone support available
  • One to one service also provided by practice nurses and GPs
  • Support for pregnant women at Bedford hospital maternity unit and within the community.
  • Workplace groups can be arranged across the catchment area.
  • Training available for health care professionals in smoking cessation

Luton Stop Smoking Services
The Stop Smoking Service:

  • Offers a free, friendly and confidential service by specialist advisors
  • Gives advice on the best way to quit smoking and is tailored for all communities and cultures
  • Gives information on medication to help you cope with withdrawal symptoms, ie NRT (patches, gum etc) Zyban and Champix.
  • Offers group sessions and individual appointments
  • Provides home visits
  • Provides confidential bedside service to patients at the L&D Hospital
  • Has access to translators for most languages (eg Urdu, Bangali)
