Suffolk

Smoke Free Suffolk (SFS) is a partnership consisting of the five Primary Care Trusts and seven District/Borough Councils in Suffolk, The Suffolk Health Schools Programme, The Suffolk Stop Smoking Service, Suffolk Trading Standards and Customs and Excise.
SFS' main aims include reducing the prevalence and uptake of tobacco use and thereby reducing the incidence of smoking related diseases and increasing the provision of smoke- free public places across the county therefore reducing the number of people affected by second-hand smoke (passive smoking).

SFS can help your business to go smoke-free by:

  • Providing a toolkit on how to go smoke free- See www.smokefreeeast.co.uk/CDROM
  • Providing information and support
  • Helping to arrange publicity (if required) for launching your establishment as Smoke-free

SFS are also involved in:

  • Smoke-free Homes project (Promoting the protection of babies and young children from second-hand smoke)
  • Awareness raising (No Smoking Day, Cancer Prevention Week and more)
